Where, Dónde? Living or witnessing life
This piece started as a somatic exploration of membranes around the lungs and the heart, in order to grieve the loss of my mother who died in Honduras while I was in the US. In the process of creation, and influenced by the assassination of the Honduran environmental leader Berta Cáceres, it became a universal exploration of crossing interior and exterior membranes, and witnessing and living different realities. This is a piece about being invigorated/ alienated, accepted/rejected, moved/constricted by the inner and outer space. It is about witnessing hostilities from faraway and grieving here.
