I am eager to share with others the practice of somatics as a tool: a) to explore new patterns of movement and expression, and b) to understand and improve the connection with the body and its movement in space.

My somatic approach is focused on improving body awareness through the experiential integration of the tissues and systems of the body, and listening the presence and movement of others.

The somatic techniques are a tool to improve body awareness, alignment, coordination, balance, and expression. In addition, they are a channel for enhancing the emotional health of the individual and the society since they foster relaxation, mindfulness, self-esteem, and empowerment.

Somatic practice takes elements from more than 20 years of experience as a teacher of contemporary dance, choreographer, performer, and somatic therapist certified in Body-Mind Centering®, as well as my training as a physician and public health researcher.
