Somatic dance classes
  • In this class we use elements of experiential anatomy and Body-Mind Centering to awake and create awareness of the different systems of the body: bones, fluids, organs, muscles, and nervous system.
  • We also incorporate elements of contemporary dance (Humphrey-Limon technique, and Laban-Bartenieff movement analysis) and Axis Syllabus to move in the space in the three planes of motion, and to move in and out of the floor. I observe the alignment and the movement of the student, and I adjust the class: to strength tissues and body connections that are weak, to awake the kinesthetic sense, and to expand the vocabulary of movement. (Read the testimonies of people who have taken this class).
  • I have taught these classes locally in the San Francisco Bay Area at Counterpulse, West Coast Contact Festival, Come Flourish, among others. I also had taught workshops in other countries.
